Classes start Monday, Aug. 23rd at Ringling College of Art and
Design. I'm glad to be back. I think it's going to be a great
semester, and I'm teaching Introduction to Illustration for
Non-Majors and Children's Book Illustration.
There is already excitement building for the next MegaCon in 2011. I
wasn't able to attend last year due to personal issues, so I'm
hoping that I get to go to this next one.

Aug 5-7, I will be going to The Center of Cartoon Studies in
Vermont, along with fellow faculty Joel Thiel and George Pratt, in
addition to Melody Weiler, V.P. for Academic Studies. That's all I
can say for now, but it should be fun!
I'm working on a poster with long-time friend, Bill Nichols, of his
character Ursula. My pencils for the poster can be seen in the comic
section...it's the drawing with all the zombies. Bill is inking it
and then I will be coloring it. It should be available soon.

The Ringling College of Art and Design is proud to present the 2010
Senior Thesis Show starting Fri. April 30th at 6 pm.
It will be another incredible exhibition and I'm looking forward to
attending the event with my gal pal, Linda (who is also responsible
for creating and updating this website...thanks Linda).
We will be taking pics and posting them here soon after the show.
Also, this last January, Marvel released Hulk Visionairies #7: Peter
David
which includes my Hulk fill-in issue #389 back in 1991. It brought a
thrill and a cringe moment. It's difficult to look at past work
without being very critical, but it was cool to see it was
reprinted, especially in a collection with comic creators I admire.
Tried to buy it by walking into book sellers and comic shops...no
one carried it in stock, but all did offer to special order. A bit
of a bummer, I wound up getting it on eBay.
