The
2008 Senior Thesis Exhibition of the graduating Ringling
College of Art and Design students has once again raised the
bar of excellence. The diversity of styles, media, and
subject matter radiated with a professionalism and polish
that will serve them well in a contrary job market. While
talking to the students, it was gratifying to learn that
many have already found employment or paid internships.
Congratulations to each and every one of them. They have
earned whatever success awaits them in the future and
hopefully their experience at Ringling will be one that they
always treasure.
I have
tried my best to compile a good sampling of the student work
from photos I took at the exhibition and promotional
materials available. Not easy, as the galleries were crowded
and glass glare from the flash of my camera caused many
problems, not to mention that my skills as a photographer
are tenuous at best.
